Docker Image

Post by mottosso »

I'm wondering whether it would be possible for either myself to create or for you to distribute Docker images of NIM?

Docker seems quite a good fit with your model of being on-premise and is a lighter alternative to the full-on virtual machine installation procedure currently employed. It would allow for less configuration in the form of editing the Docker Image file along with quicker and more painless updates, with native support for distributed deployment and well versed deployment strategies.

Hi,

Funny you should ask. We just did our first Docker image build test today. So, needless to say it's early on to say what's working and what's not but so far so good...

That's great, figured it would be the natural transition of things.

I use Docker quite a bit on my end, if you need any help, I might be able to provide some.
