Re: best practice: finished projects

Many thanks. An "active / inactive" switch would be nice. It would cut away all the clutter, like not awarded jobs, etc.

feature request: global job tasks

It would be nice to be able to drop global job tasks, as NIM is actually strongly built around shots. In a production scenario there are more tasks associated, like mastering, transcoding, backup, harddrive return, etc., which are not linked to a certain shot, but the whole job. It would be cool, if...

best practice: finished projects

Is there a best practive how to handle finished projects? As a company we would like them to disappear from the company job list to keep the overview clean and sleak for everyone. As far as I can see, setting a project to "inactive" still lists it on the studio job list. Is there a kind of archive p...

feature request: shot list export

It would be nice, to be able to export a white backgrounded shot list for a job. Clients often demand a kind of status report for their job. A simple PDF export directly from NIM would be smart answer to that everyday question.

So for example Offline, Grading, Flame / VFX, FTP transfers. In this example, the alphabetical sort would place FTP transfers first,...

Re: bidding: different PDF headers for studio locations

That's a good idea. It would also be useful to link the headers the same way.

Re: Media: studio wide view for media in projects

Nice. One question came up today, as we talked about this:
How would you handle the media for a project, if it's being archived?
Usually we keep the rushes a while, after the project is finished. So it would be useful, to still see checked in media from archived projects in studio view for all media.

Re: bidding: different PDF headers for studio locations

Actually we would do so either. We would create terms and conditions for each location, holding the legal information, that this bid is made by studio location X, etc. It's ok as a workaround. Headers per location would be better.
